Your narrator
If your life was a movie or a documentary, who would narrate your life?
Take for example those bbc-documentaries..that is the way I kinda mean it..
Whose voice would you like to be heard then?
This is a small spinn of from the topic Impressive Female Voices ..only I do not only mean female narrators..
I know that I like the voice of Morgan Freeman very much. His voice is soothing and soft, calm but neither boring nor exaggerated..it is also at times "crispy" which I find pleasant.

Re: Your narrator
I have always been partial to two male voices....
Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart.
In the case of Patrick Stewart I may be slightly biased due to his role of Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek TNG, plus how he says "zero"

Probably Ian KcKellen.
I recently needed voiceover services for professional reasons, and it crossed my mind to contact Ian McKellen. So there you go.

Re: Your narrator
My choice between male voices would be one of these three:
Gregory Peck
Peter O´Tool
Ian McKellen
I am a bit confused why I haven´t chosen a female voice. Still thinking

Same here!So far the four of us have all selected male narrators.........
If I try to focus on females only, then I would want it to be a slightly husky voice.
From the top of my head I can think of 3 female actresses that are known to have one: Lauren Bacall, Angelina Jolie, Demi Moore, but Jolie and Moore are still too young for narration.
I think a good voice gets only better with age, same as a face or a wine.

Re: Your narrator
Interestingly I was also having in mind Lauren Bacall. She has that voice, but I could imagine her to tell her story not mine.
Maybe Meril Streep, although I like much more her characters than her voice.I like the voice of Gena Rowlands and I think that she will be my choice between female voices.

Thats an interesting one Chiara!
How about Leonard Cohen, with Marriane Faithful lending an interesting twist?
Actually those two could read me the phone book and i would listen!

Re: Your narrator
Dermot, those are excellent choices, especially Leonard Cohen!
For some reason I have limited myself to actors/actresses, but there are of course so many singers who have grand voices.
I may have to reconsider.
