- If you could travel back in time, but as a one-way ticket, meaning you would have to stay in that time from then on, would you do it?
- If yes, which time would you travel to and why?
- Would the ability to take 5 people with you affect your answer either way?
- Can you think of ways to make this question more interesting?

Maybe... I go no where without my other half...

Early 15th century... I don't know... it just seems like a good time.

Yes...

Maybe some streamers... a little confetti... perhaps some balloons?

There are some centuries that have fascinated me because of some great people who lived then and contributed greatly to the change of human consciousness. So, I would prefer to spend some time with some of them, but to go without turning back would be a limitation for me as there are more people than 5 who make this life I have now beautiful to be lived.

So, my answer was actually no.

It would and my answer to the first question explained that. Many more attachments. =0)

Maybe another two questions:
-Why would you do that (change the time of your life), from the point of view of this time/life?
-Why would you do that from the point of view of the new chosen time?

Having the mentality of living in the 21st century, in a free Western society, where ideas and cultures can be shared without restrictions and absurd rules, I wouldn't like to travel back in time and stay there permanently. My decision wouldn't change even if I were able to take 5 loved ones with me.

I agree with Mirjana. I would like to visit different places at different times in the past, just to form a personal idea of life then, or be with a personality I greatly admire, but only for a short visit.

Humanity has been through too much suffering and misery and too many wars and unnecessary violence that I consider myself lucky to live in peace and comfort. I know these things still go on in many places all around the globe, that's why if I had the opportunity to travel in time, I would choose the future, with the expectation to see a united humanity, freed from all the bonds of hatred prejudice and restrictions of any kind.
