Bravo Ryan. It is really a must. Today it is a question of primary education. I have already seen it but I am happy you prepared this for us as I am glad to watch it again.

Re: The Corporation
They are asking people to buy the DVD as a sign of support (which is anyway what we did even before we knew that we would support them otherwise as well, lol), but they make the movie freely available as well, simply in hopes of informing as many people as possible.
So, I join you two with the same hopes that everyone will watch it.
Information is power... if nothing else it is the power to pull the veil down that has been pulled over your eyes and see things for what they are, choose to see things for what they are... the whole blue pill/red pill dilemma...
Better yet...

Re: The Corporation
Hmmmm interesting. For me it is not necessarily just the business form "corporation", it is about human nature and what that does to large organizations. "The "Road To Hell" is paved with good intentions.", "The end justifies the means", "Power corrupts." etc etc. It just seems that mankind has not grown sufficiently in moral and ethical behaviour to overcome the greed and power ambitions of people who progress up the leadership "chain of command" of any large organization.
It does not matter what kind of organization, an army, a religion, political leadership or a corporate business, when they grow larger, the actions of its leaders become more power hungry, grandiose, self centered and lose track of whatever good and noble mission the organization was
initially formed for.

So much true.
Unfortunately many great ideas, that had started by people who were good minded transformed over time into the polygons for greed and power exercises. Does it mean that the mean side in humans is more powerful than the good one? What is the reason that even a very good things transforms into their opposites?

Re: The Corporation
George, did you watch the above movie "The Corporation"?
Mirjana, I recommend you also watch it again. :)
Not everyone is like that, there are exceptions, and they are shown very nicely in the movie.

Yes Sabina, you are right. I do remember. In spite of that I started watching it again and have seen three parts. After seeing the whole again I shall turn back here. I still remember the president of that corporation for carpets and what a positive impact he made the time back when I saw it for the first time. He and people like him are those who are hope bearers. I do hope that such men will change the world, although for the time being they are minority.

The 1st segment is 7 minutes. The total time is roughly two and a half hours.
