Meaningful Slang
Ah.... you know how I usually stress the importance of language and words, how I sometimes condemn excessive usage of slang, mostly if it is at expense of language, causing meaningful and beautiful words to be forgotten. I find that to be a pity, so I sometimes get judgmental on that account.
But then there are other times. Times when one must embrace a slang word, because it is every bit as meaningful as those "real words".
I just discovered one such word today, and it is so simple that it seriously baffles me that neither I, nor anyone I know has come up with it or used it before. Its simplicity is practically poetic. That word is shituation.
Definition: An event (usually negative) that has the potential to transform your life into utter shit.
I just thought I'd share this with you, so you know of it as well, and can therefore spread the beauty all around you.
