Hurt by Words
| Words are meaningless compared to action and body language. Words are just words. No one can or should be hurt by what is spoken. |

Where do you stand?
What are your thoughts on the meaning and importance of words?

Re: Hurt by Words
My stance is that while I feel that body language is a very important part of communicating emotion/feeling it falls very short of being able to convey a detailed thought. Body language cannot describe the color fuschia... or tell a story.
| If you don't understand something I said or why I said it... ask me. If you don't want to understand something I said or why I said it... tell me. |

Re: Hurt by Words
The right side seems to be closer to me on the first sight.
What I would add is if words are followed by corresponding actions .
Then there is a second thought.
One can tell you a poem with words in the moment of inspiration or... and then later the same person can hurt you very much with an action which would be far away from previously said words.
There are people who are disable to speak, so body language and actions are the only way to express their emotions accordingly.
These two sides when balanced, which is the best, sometimes are expressed over words, sometimes over actions or body language , in both cases harmonizing each other.
