Orgy: Blue Monday
Orgy's version is a bit harder than New Order's original, and fits the song and the lyrics better in my opinion. However, I prefer New Order's music video.

I love Dave Matthews interpretation of this song....starts so slow, but builds and holds the tension for so long.

I cannot imagine the better interpretation for the essence that John Lennon sent to the world with this song.
As one comment on You Tube says (w0rm93), John Lennon would also be proud to hear this interpretation. I agree.

I didn't even know that this song was originally by Simon & Garfunkel... I just found out.
And I know Simon & Garfunkel! At least I thought I know them.
Hazy Shade of Winter, covered by The Bangles (from the movie "Less than Zero")

A good example of the evolution of music --
Here is both the original and the cover
And the cover [very cool to hear Led Zep's roots]

Couldn't leave this one out. Chris Cornell covering Michael Jackson's Billie Jean - Never liked the original, but the cover is exceptional
