Comedians and Hecklers
I posted the video of Bill Hicks in the Art Associations topic and under the YouTube search results there was a video which shows Bill Hicks dealing with a heckler. A heckler is someone in the crowd that is interrupting the show... usually verbally. Now, I can understand the frustration... it's their show, people generally paid money to see their act, and it is rather disrespectful to say the least. However! I generally like to see how comedians handle hecklers. I think it says quite a bit about their character.
I'm not going to post any actual video but I'll post some links to some of the more famous comedians and their responses...
Bill Hicks
George Carlin
Martin Lawrence
Through the process of trying to find more videos, I am wondering if the reaction from the comedian might have to do with their popularity. Meaning, is it possible that the more famous the comedian the worse and worse their reactions?
Here are some more decent reactions...
Jimmy Carr
Jason John Whitehead
