Animated Short Movies
"The Saga Of Biorn"
Sabina, thank you for posting one more short animated movie in the Life-Changing-Arts.
It is great animation, music is brilliant and there is a message. I am very curious how other Ds members understand the message.
So, what is the message of the story?

Well, it's a rather humoristic message....
He had his idea of heaven, the nuns had theirs, and by converting him when it was out of his hands they ruined his life-long quest! Poor guy..
How did you understand it?

My was not far from yours.
Maybe more general. Better not to have too high opinion/idea about any kind of promises or prophecies and then to base the whole life on the chosen doctrine. One could turn to be surprised how far from the understanding of the doctrine this doctrine truly is/was, realizing that the gift of life was spent on the wrong cause.-

I simply got the message as being...
One man's Heaven is another man's Hell
| If you don't understand something I said or why I said it... ask me. If you don't want to understand something I said or why I said it... tell me. |

How do you see it that he had a "too high opinion" about the promise of Valhalla?
What would be the wrong cause in the case of Biorn?

The last place he wanted to go was the place where he went. He tried very hardly to have an honorable death and did everything he could following the quest of Varhalla.
Too much expectations and as a result a disappointment. Or could it be a kind of symbol or metaphor for the time when traditional Nordic mythology was suppressed by Christian ideology?
