I understand your points well, I used to be that way myself... but I don't see the point any more... the Christian way of life doesn't affect me personally and I find pleasure in aspects of it so I say "live and let live".

No Ryan.. you have just convinced me... I am adopting your method into my life... as long as I can take pleasure in something, in some way, and as long as whatever is bad about that something doesn't affect me or my loved ones personally... why should I care? You are right... why should I get all in a fuss and excited and work to inform myself and try to explain things to others and save them the time and energy of doing the research themselves... when I could spend my time in much more enjoyable ways than speaking and trying to explain the deeper meaning behind things? After all, it only darkens me and I become labeled as some nut case who takes things to extremes and am some sort of crazed "idealist"... Who needs it? Not me... Why should I care? It's not my problem...

I don't understand... "No Ryan.. you have just convinced me..." I have just convinced you of what?

This is interesting... Dermot, after so many discussions about religion here on DS I would have thought that Ryan's views on religion would be already known by now, and that especially you knew better than to jump at this, especially in this way!

Sabina... it is just that the media, corporations, brainwashing, and all other matters have no real importance or are not as serious problems and therefore don't deserve so much attention... and if you give too many things attention you become a "fanatic" and lose any kind of credibility...

It seems so... although I am in complete disbelief over what is happening here, and on which level.

And deep spirits... how deep are they? How deep do they dig? And what? Just on selected topics while other things may remain shallow?

What does connecting mean? Connect for the day? Connect for this month, as long as it suits us and if something seems weird, well Hey! Let's not ask questions! Let's not clarify anything. Let's go straight to conclusions and judgment.

I am incredibly sad and feel physically sick at the moment from all this.
