Music of my Soul

That ancient art form whose medium is sound.
Melody, harmony, rhythm and inspiration.

Wow Dermot,
The Smashing Pumpkins song is quite hard compared to what you usually post. And 33 minutes long! Wow! (again)
I like it, by the way.

A funny thing about the Pixies song. The evening when you posted that we watched Fight Club here, the movie ends with "Where is my mind", so that was a very nice coincidence!

Hi Sabina, sometimes a strong dose of 'hard edged' music blows away the angst and the introspection.........not a bad thing!

No, definitely not a bad thing Dermot, I am rather a fan of harder music, depending on my mood of course, as always....

Dermot, You have posted so many great songs here that it makes me wonder how anyone could know them all - Thanks you
PS - the Portihead song is amazing.

I found this version of REM doing Country Feedback. Quite a moving song, and one with special meaning for me.

This flower is scorched
This film is on
On a maddening loop
These clothes
These clothes don't fit us right
I'm to blame
It's all the same
It's all the same

You come to me with the phone in your hand
You come to me with your hair curled tight
You come to me with positions
You come to me with excuses
Ducked out in a row
You wear me out
You wear me out

We've been through fake breakdowns
Self hurt
Plastics, collections
Self help, self pain,
EST, psychics, fudge ⊗ all
I was central
I had control
I lost my head
I need this
I need this
A paper weight, junk garage
Winter rain, a honey pot
Crazy, all the lovers have been tagged
A hotline, a wanted ad
It's crazy what you could've had
I need this
It's crazy what you could've had
It's crazy what you could've had
I need
I need this....

So much beautiful music here. I come here from time to time and just play them one by one, in order.
Thank you!! <3

Here is my contribution... Kirstin Hersh feat. Michael Stripe from REM with "Your Ghost". It's one of my all time favorites... I love this song...
