I wasn't sure what to call this topic, but I wanted to share the below image with you.
It's funny... I think.
Maybe someone has something else to add? B0)

ROFL at the Thor pic, Sabina! I'd seen it before, and it's still hilarious.

I definitely would have been more interested in going to church if they played this kind of music. Part comedy routine, part song with a subtle message about American consumerism.

I thought this cartoon would fit here rather nicely....

Key phrase "what god looks like" reminds me of a joke though, or maybe it's a real story...

A kindergarten teacher was observing her classroom of children while they drew. She would occasionally walk around to see each child's artwork. As she got to one little girl who was working diligently, she asked what the drawing was.

The girl replied, "I'm drawing God."
The teacher paused and said, "But no one knows what God looks like."
Without missing a beat, or looking up from her drawing, the girl replied, "They will in a minute."
"Whether You believe you can, or you can't, you are right."

Sorry, Sabina, you're telling me through this preceding hilarity that you are on a quest for mysticism and meaning in life, through the commune Deep Spirits and the like; but you negate the existance of a 'God' or 'Goddess' or a 'Higher Power'?

I'm not sure I follow. Please could you explain to me? Perhaps I'm not quite as learned as you.

No problem Chessa, of course I can explain. I will start by answering your questions...
Yes, I am on the quest and no, I do not negate the existence of a higher power.

I appreciate wit. I appreciate the immeasurable depth of human thought, and so, I appreciate truly witty displays of thought.

- God knows everything, so God is an atheist.
The predicament makes sense, doesn't it?
- What God looks like to believers and non-believers... true again.
- The confidence of the little girl in the joke/story, the one who is drawing God, is pure awesomeness!
- And as for the opening post of this topic, Thor and his hammer, it is short, simple and funny.

If something puts a twist on things and turns them around or turns them upside down, in a witty intelligent manner, I find that to be worth sharing. I think such witty displays can provoke people to think and question and understand more than just preaching about something can or does.

I hope this clears it all up, but if not, I'd be happy to clarify.
"Whether You believe you can, or you can't, you are right."

Can't quite wrap my head around, God Knows Everything, So God is An Atheist.

Perhaps I'm just not as intellectual as You and Ryan?

I've read the ten page saga from ages ago when lots of your friends were regularly post here, so please know I cannot sustain the interest in an epic to and fro-ing like that.

You are entitled to what you want to believe.

Can I summarise what I understand on a very rudimentary level? You believe that there is Depth of Spirit, and that Spirit comes from...Self? Is that right?

I'm sorry. I must appear gauche. 80S
