Give a magic touch to your day

I thought that it would not be bad if we pop in this topic whenever we have an idea about anything that has made the present day special to us or an idea that could help us to be aware of the day.
We can nicely inspire each other in that, I can imagine. =0)
"Everybody who will be aware of that what is already there in her/his life, will be happy today.
This kind of gratitude and awareness brings magic into the life. Everything appears in the new light."

Tuesday morning magic

That's a lovely idea!

I offer free wallpapers on one of my websites.. just a few that I created. Someone contacted me this morning by e-mail asking if it would be ok if he used one of them as a background for a website.
He didn't have to ask.. they are free wallpapers after all.. but he did ask, and explained what for, which website (for a Café... :), etc. I think that is beautiful and I told him so.
He made my morning.

Who knows to show the Joy, S/he is aware of the reason of that Joy. Awareness is a key of Joy.
Joy is a privilege for those who think more about life than about self.

Good morning (or, afternoon) Mirjana & Sabina,

I am grateful to this very posting on raising the level of consciousness to "Joy". It brought a smile to my heart! Along, with an email I received from Sabina, and two distant friends' who sent words of Kindness and inspiration. I am thankful to the light bestowed upon my morning.

Have a wonderful afternoon. <3

The Day of Self-Knowledge

May the following verses bout Self-Knowledge be an inspiration for today inspiring our dedicated moment to the reflections about as many paths our soul has been exploaring. Enjoy these inner journey.

[color=#9f1313]Your hearts know in silence the secrets of the days and the nights.
But your ears thirst for the sound of your heart's knowledge.
You would know in words that which you have always known in thought.
You would touch with your fingers the naked body of your dreams.

And it is well you should.
The hidden well-spring of your soul must needs rise and run murmuring to the sea;
And the treasure of your infinite depths would be revealed to your eyes.
But let there be no scales to weigh your unknown treasure;
And seek not the depths of your knowledge with staff or sounding line.
For self is a sea boundless and measureless.

Say not, "I have found the truth," but rather, "I have found a truth."
Say not, "I have found the path of the soul." Say rather, "I have met the soul walking upon my path."
For the soul walks upon all paths.
The soul walks not upon a line, neither does it grow like a reed.
The soul unfolds itself like a lotus of countless petals.

A beautiful PM

I got a private message from one of our newest members.
His openness towards himself, and his reaching out has deeply touched me.
Considering to walk away he instead wrote a message first. For me that is an illustration of hope. Rather than assuming or concluding something and leaving it at that, he gave it another go.
If everyone were to do that, this world and our collective consciousness would immediately experience a huge leap forward.

As for the member, I know he still might walk away, but whether he does or doesn't, he did first send that PM, and with it spread beauty through hope.

PS: I am not mentioning his name only because it might make him uncomfortable.

Whoever it could be, I do hope that s/he will stay.
Why I say this?
Whenever in my life I was hurt it was because of my personal problems and projection. Escaping one situation that has confronted me with that aspect of myself would always cause another, harder situation of the very same kind on my life ladder when starting another step.
It is OK to change life circumstances and to leave one situation, but it is good if the reason for that is a choice based on curiosity, wish to start something new and challenging, but not the reason to avoid something or to escape one situation that seems to be threatening.

Instead to run away,
Come closer and stay.
Knowing better your fear
Your fear will disappear.

Instead to run away,
Understand and stay.
Feeling deeper your fear
Your fear will disappear.

Instead to hide away,
Take it with heart and stay.
Loving even your fear,
Your fear will disappear.

From Henry David Thoreau:

[quote]“I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavours to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. He will put some things behind, will pass an invisible boundary; new, universal, and more liberal laws will begin to establish themselves around and within him; or the old laws be expanded, and interpreted in his favour in a more liberal sense, and he will live with the license of a higher order of beings. In proportion as he simplifies his life, the laws of the universe will appear less complex, and solitude will not be solitude, nor poverty poverty, nor weakness weakness. If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.”

Several years ago, when the internet was beginning to explode and home computers had become mainstream, I discovered chat rooms. There really weren't spiritual communities like this back then, but you could find chat rooms about nearly any topic easily. I frequented the spiritual chat rooms and it was a wonderful time for me as I could finally share my thoughts with like minded indivuals from across the globe and learn from them as well. It was magic. A number of those people I met back then have gone on to do wondrous things. This poem is from one of those people.

[quote][color=#0065c4]The Invitation by Oriah Mountain Dreamer

It doesn’t interest me
what you do for a living.
I want to know
what you ache for
and if you dare to dream
of meeting your heart’s longing.

It doesn’t interest me
how old you are.
I want to know
if you will risk
looking like a fool
for love
for your dream
for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn’t interest me
what planets are
squaring your moon...

I want to know
if you have touched
the centre of your own sorrow
if you have been opened
by life’s betrayals
or have become shrivelled and closed
from fear of further pain.

I want to know
if you can sit with pain
mine or your own
without moving to hide it
or fade it
or fix it.

I want to know
if you can be with joy
mine or your own
if you can dance with wildness
and let the ecstasy fill you
to the tips of your fingers and toes
without cautioning us
to be careful
to be realistic
to remember the limitations
of being human.

It doesn’t interest me
if the story you are telling me
is true.
I want to know if you can
disappoint another
to be true to yourself.
If you can bear
the accusation of betrayal
and not betray your own soul.
If you can be faithless
and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see Beauty
even when it is not pretty
every day.
And if you can source your own life
from its presence.
I want to know
if you can live with failure
yours and mine
and still stand at the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon,

It doesn’t interest me
to know where you live
or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up
after the night of grief and despair
weary and bruised to the bone
and do what needs to be done
to feed the children.
It doesn’t interest me
who you know
or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand
in the centre of the fire
with me
and not shrink back.

It doesn’t interest me
where or what or with whom
you have studied.
I want to know
what sustains you
from the inside
when all else falls away.

I want to know
if you can be alone
with yourself
and if you truly like
the company you keep
in the empty moments.

These words sounded strangely familiar to me Randall, but I can't place them. It's wonderful, thanks for adding that into the mix!

I wish to express my gratitude for all the beautiful people here in Deep Spirits. It is like a beautiful dream.

And with these words I bid you good night.. :)
