Empowering Music

When you are down, for whatever reason, for however long... the music that helps you, that be the empowering music in this case...
;0) B0) Obviously, lots of different things can fall into this category.

Love the lyrics... yes, they are in German. My translation is below.
Keep in mind that it loses quite a bit in the translation, but it's still good.

Warrior
translated by Sabina Nore :P

(The sleeper must awake!)
The warrior awakes
He has been made a warrior overnight
He prepares
He thought (to himself)
We've spent the longest time
(Spent) time with waiting
(Spent) time with words
Made ourselves comfortable
But now eternity is spreading
The sleeper awakes and is ready
And freed of space he lives in a vision
Steps through your dream in a secret mission
And he fights to wake others from their dream
Because he knows that within them many small warriors lay
And in spite of that he doesn't say Come with me
He asks about your dream asks Why are you here
He has the power of magic
In the river of time it becomes clear to him
He acknowledges his future with all his senses
Expands the Now through his consciousness and filled with the moment
He takes the next step and knows now there is no turning back

As now he awakes
But his dream continues because the magic works
He awakes and his dream continues because the magic works
He awakes his dream continues further than the magic works
He awakes and knows it

He awakes from the dream the collective is dreaming
He has finally cleaned up his old convictions (ideas)
Replaced the isolation and puts in its place
The vision that we are one, on one wave
As life is a river that must flow (let it flow)
And the warrior says convinced it is time for you to decide
Who you are Where you are going to
Which side you are on
It is time for you to understand
That you turn on the wheel of time
We lead a battle, most of us carry it out in the quiet
Only the result bursts out of them

And he can see it, as a warrior he feels it is existent
And now since he knows the secret
He feels the rhythm the magic of monotony
And energy as never before
Replaces the theory
And he realizes - Harmony brings strength
His dream comes true He has made it

Now he awakes but his dream continues because the magic works
He awakes but his dream continues because his magic works
He awakes his dream continues even further than the magic works
He awakes
Now he awakes but his dream continues because the magic works
He awakes but his dream continues because his magic works
He awakes his dream continues even further than the magic works
He awakes and knows it

The magic of music gives you too the strength
Take the next step then you've made it
The warrior will show you a piece of free land
A place in your head which he found
And gives you his hand
Which you touch and you feel you are one it is happening
You have the same vision Now you see what he sees
And you see warriors everywhere and they all look familiar to you
Each face each story is related to you
They fight for life That's what warriors are here for
Live for the dream and they are all part of you and give you
A feeling like a shield You have missed it for a long time
That as long as you are fighting you are not alone
Enter the circle and make what you know a reality
And the realization will bring the strength which sets you free
And with that free of fear completely relaxed
Set free what snoozes inside of you

Because then you awake and your dream continues because your magic works
You awake but your dream continues because the magic works
You awake but your dream continues further than the magic works
You awake and know it
You awake and your dream continues because the magic works
You awake and your dream continues because the magic works
You awake but your dream continues further than the magic works
You awake and know it

A little explanation... Metallica is my favorite group. I always try to find the lyrics included in the video or at least put them as text because that is the important part. The music is great because it sets the mood... Most understand it as being angry, but I think determined, or certain, would be more accurate. A lot of Metallica's music is political, but almost always on ethical or moral issues. Metallica is very poetic in their lyrics as opposed to the more blatant lyrics of songs. For example, in the song that addresses nuclear warfare, "Blackened" from their "...And Justice for All" album, there is a verse that says "see your mother, put to death, see your mother die"... and most take it literal instead of symbolic. Mother, in this song is Mother Earth or Mother Nature... So, anyway... I wanted to explain and ask that people actually try to understand them rather than turn away because their style is intense...

Wasting my Hate

Good day. How do?
And I send a smile to you
Don't waste, waste your breath
And I won't waste my hate on you

Ain't gonna waste my hate
Ain't gonna waste my hate on you
I think I'll keep it for myself
Ain't gonna kill no more
Ain't got the time to help you score
I think it's time you pleased yourself
Yourself

Good day. How do?
And I send a smile to you
Don't waste, waste your breath
And I won't waste my hate on you
Waste my hate on you

Hate!

You think you're worthy now?
You think enough to even raise the brow
And to laugh and tip that two-pronged crown?

Well I see my hands, I see my feet
I feel that blood that pumps and beats
But where the hell's my mind going now?
Dead gone now!

Good day. How do?
And I send a smile to you
Don't waste, waste your breath
And I won't waste my hate on you
Waste my hate on you

Think I'll keep it for myself

Hate!

Ain't gonna waste my hate
But I'm so greedy when they say
Better to give than to receive

Ain't gonna waste my hate, no no
Ain't got time to waste my hate on you
I think I'll keep it all for myself
For myself

Good day. How do?
And I send a smile to you
Don't waste, waste your breath
And I won't waste my hate on you
Waste my hate on you

Think I'll keep it for myself

Yeah!

Hate!

I came across this just now when I was looking for something else, but I remember I liked it back.. then. A song called "Weak" in "empowering music" may seem a bit odd.. does it?
Who cares. =0/

This is my first attempt at posting "empowering" music. Please excuse me if it doesn't quite fit.

I wasn't sure where to add this song... it fits here, but it could also fit some of the other moods.

The Mission: Tower of Strength

      You raise me up
      When I'm on the floor
      You see me through
      When I'm lonely and scared
And I'm feeling true to the written word
      And you're true to me
      And still I need more
      It would tear me apart
To feel no one ever cared
      For me
      For me
      For me
You are a tower of strength to me

      You stand firm and proud
When the wind blows in your face
And when the sun shines in your eyes
You just turn your head away
      To me
      To me
      To me
You are a tower of strength to me

      You rescue me
      You are my faith
      My hope
      My liberty
And when there is darkness all around
      You shine bright for me
      You are the guiding light

      To me
      To me
      To me
You are a tower of strength to me

You are all passion and heart
When I lay in your embrace
And heaven is in your kiss
Salvation lies just a touch away

      To me
      To me
      To me
You are a tower of strength to me

"Whether You believe you can, or you can't, you are right."

This one could have gone in a couple of places, depending on where I am in my head any given day. To me it speaks of escape, leaving, just chucking all the nonsense and doing what you have to do. If that's not empowering, I don't know what is. Also, though the song starts out sad, by the end there's just such a sense of joy, as if she's saying that she will overcome, no matter how hard it is just now.
