Classic Cheese

I liked the approach Sabina had with the "You Light Up My Life" song... so I decided to make it a category... post your controversial song and let's see what each other has to say about it.

I'll kick it off with...

The Final Countdown - Europe

What do you say... Classic... Cheesy... or Classic Cheese?

Ryan, I would say cheesy. It may be a classic as well, but I tend to the cheesy side when it comes to this one.

How about "Alone" by Heart? Cheesy or classic or both?

And how about "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie Tyler?
Although, I must add, the video is definitely cheesy. :)

Hmmm...I don't know...I still like the Heart song... although the Bonnie Tyler song leans more towards the Cheese side of things in my opinion... I don't really think either are classics though...

I got the perfect Cheese song

As for me neither The Final Count Down nor "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie Tyler are cheesy, I am not sure any more what do you mean by cheese? So, a little help will be great. 80S

This topic would be for those songs that are border line classics or cheesy songs. Cheesy songs would be those songs that have been written again and again and just been given a different title and a different tune... basically...

I am not sure how to explain... You don't see the songs as cheesy... Ok, no problem... they are supposed to be songs that might not be considered to cheesy to some... but could be to others... they all should be well known songs and therefore could be considered to be a classic... therefore the conundrum... Classic? Cheese? Or Classic Cheese!?!

Dearest Sabina,
Classic, is all a matter of perception, so "Yes" it's "Classically Cheesy" at its finest! (Lols)
